David Cowan is a perennial Forbes Midas List investor (ranked as high as #6) with more than 20 IPOs to his name. David has focused on funding security startups like Cyota (acquired by RSA), LifeLock, Postini, Tripwire, Tumbleweed and VeriSign, which David founded in 1995 as a spinout from RSA. He has also invested in consumer internet companies like Blue Nile and Playdom (acquired by Disney), business services like Hotjobs and LinkedIn, as well as network infrastructure companies like Ciena, P-Com, Netli (acquired by Akamai), and Keynote. David’s current portfolio includes Clutch Mobile, CrowdFlower, Endgame, GetInsured, Nominum, Reputation.com, Skybox Imaging, Smule, Twitch.TV and Zoosk. David studied computer science and math at Harvard, where he later received his MBA. In his spare time, David blogs at WhoHasTimeforThis.com, scuba dives, and sings a cappella with Voices in Harmony.
Jay Adelson is a serial entrepreneur known for his work founding and running companies such as Equinix, Digg, Revision3, SimpleGeo and Opsmatic. Jay founded Equinix in 1998, where he was responsible for the original and sustaining business model, growing it to be the largest data center company and Internet exchange service in the world, taking the company public and building it to a multi-billion dollar company. Jay founded Revision3 in 2005, the first Internet television network, selling it to Discovery Communications in 2012. As CEO of Digg, Jay launched and grew what was arguably the first social media company to tens of millions of users and billions of impressions a month, leaving at its peak in April 2010. At SimpleGeo, Jay served as CEO and sold SimpleGeo to Urban Airship in 2011, and founded Opsmatic in 2013.
Jay’s passion for Internet infrastructure and communications is the thread between these companies, advisory roles and board positions. In July 2003, Jay testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Select Committee on Homeland Security Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Science and Research & Development. In 2008, Jay was selected by Time Magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World.

Sunil Nagaraj focuses on investments in security, mobile, and developer tools companies. Sunil serves as a board observer at GetInsured, Piazza, Simply Measured, and Smule. He is also closely involved with Bessemer’s investments in Box, Nitrous.IO and Zapier. Prior to joining Bessemer, Sunil was the founder and CEO of Triangulate, a venture-backed online dating startup that used social media behaviors to drive algorithmic matching. Previously, Sunil worked in consulting at Bain & Company, in Cisco’s Corporate Development group, and in product management at Microsoft. He has also worked at several early-stage startups (Sendio, ZeeWise, Celito) as a software engineer and in business development.
Sunil holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated with honors. Sunil serves on the boards of the Computer History Museum (NextGen), where he is Co-Chair, and the San Francisco Amateur Astronomers.
